Polyethylene wax has the following functions in PVC stabilizer:
Internal lubricant function olyethylene wax can lubricate PVC materials, reduce friction resistance, reduce cohesion, and improve the processing performance of PVC. It can be evenly dispersed in the molten state of PVC material, reduce the viscosity of the material, improve the melt fluidity, and facilitate the processing and molding of plastic products.
Function of external lubricant: Polyethylene wax forms a thin film on the surface of PVC to reduce friction between PVC and metal molds, improve surface smoothness during the molding process and reduce mold wear, and avoid adhesion between the product and the mold.
Melt stabilizer function: Polyethylene wax can adsorb and stabilize metal ions through the polarization process, inhibit the role of metal ions in PVC materials, prevent thermal decomposition and oxidation, and extend the service life of PVC materials.
Antistatic effect: Polyethylene wax has good antistatic properties and can absorb moisture in the air to help reduce or eliminate static electricity. It plays an antistatic and dustproof role in the production and use of plastic products.
It should be noted that the amount and selection of polyethylene wax need to be determined according to the specific PVC material, processing technology and application requirements. Excessive or inappropriate use may affect the physical and mechanical properties of the PVC material.
